NeoPop detects my usb controller but can't configure and use

Post by Bikeage »

Howdy, just downloaded the Neo Geo Pocket Color emulator NeoPop and ROM's. It detects whether or not my usb gamepad is connected, but there seems to be no way to configure it to correspond with the right buttons. It doesn't work and I've looked elsewhere for any answers but can't find anything. Racketboys (and girls) you're my only hope! If anyone can help, thank you!!!!

Not sure what he problem is, but you can always use JoytoKey or similar gamepad translation program to map controller inputs to keyboard keys. All PC emulators will accept keyboard input and since there's no analogs on a NGPC it should work seamlessly. I sometimes have to use this program or one of the Xinput ones for xbox contoller support, and when I do, I usually set up a batch or autohotkey script to start joytokey with the mappings I want, then launch the emulator, and upon the emulator closing, Kill the joytokey program from memory for a clean exit.
