Android controller with a good d-pad?

Post by fuctfuct »

Do any of them have a good one? None of them look all that great. Looks can be deceiving. Not many YT reviews talk about the d-pad much.

I'm talking about the ones that stretch like the razor Razer Kishi. Most of the other controllers look very cheaply made.

Would I be better off just buying a $4 DualShock 4 clip?

I've bought a couple of those stretchy phone holders a long time ago and the D-pads were crap. There are good bluetooth controllers - I use a SteelSeries for Android gaming on the TV. My friend has a Scuf controller that can connect to Android. Still, can't go wrong with a Sony controller.

I now use an XB1 controller with clip. The XB1 controller with a real D pad vs Elite concave weirdness.

PS4 clip it is then!

I have a couple of the newer XB1 controllers. Bluetooth and clicky d-pad. Everyone keeps telling me how awesome the d-pad is. SmokeMonster even made a video about how much he loves them, and the series d-pad. I don't like them at all. I suppose its ok for shmups. :D

I tried for a long time to find a controller to hold my 7" Asus tablet, but those expansion controllers are the only ones, and the decent ones are not cheap.

My phone (cheap Samsung A51) is 6.5 inches. Wonder if its gonna be too big for a clippy-mc-thing. Guess i'll find out.

Not sure how you're playing, but I actually prefer using a little kickstand so the XB1 controller is free. My setup below.
