Looks like one of those Moga controllers. I had one of those a couple years back and then went with the steelseries after it. Moga was fine and all, but it would get testy (more so with IOS) with it's own mode vs generic bluetooth mode switching. Some titles and emulators just wouldn't be nice to it at all, and quite a few others had no issues.

The one I'm using is this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IMSVVTU/

It works great, never had any issues with it. It's just a cheap controller that gets the job done. I don't think the company has any affiliation with MOGA.

I think the one I picked up is just the 2nd Gen of yours. Hence the "B02" name.

I'll admit I'm impressed. While she's not an avid gamer, Mrs. Jago said it felt like a 360 controller to her.

$8 more

I saw in reviews folks liked the B02 ergonomics & d pad a bit better. Sure opinions will vary though.

Well I'm not above upgrading. The d-pad on the original model isn't perfect (not bad though), if the new model has a better d-pad that's worth it for me.

Guess it's not a Moga then. I think I've seen that pad on an amazon popup before and it gets good results from buyers so if you want something with a built in clip on it, that may be your best option vs price and all that too. If you don't mind just using your tablets case stand or whatever, then I'd go with the 8bitdo PRO as you get the same button totals/stick layout as a Switch, PS3, 360 controller. The steelseries is solid but it's on the smaller size like a joycon or gb micro so it may feel crowded or crampy depending on your hands but is otherwise great.

I don't have a reference point between the two, but I do remember a couple reviews stating they improved the D pad over the original model. I dig it. Not exceptional, but definitely serviceable.

@ Tanooki, I've been eyeing the 8bitduo. The fact you use it on real retro hardware with the adapter as well is an awesome touch.
