I bought one of these last week, really pleased and a big step up from the Retrolink one. I find ABXY buttons feel pretty much identical to a real SNES controller. Agree that the Dpad is a little bit floaty compared to a real one but still very good (again compared to the Retrolink). No input lag that I can feel and I'm playing through a 6 feet USB extension cable.

Planning on getting the Famicom controller from Buffalo soon.

Is the black version not sold anywhere? I can only find the one with the SFC colors.

First time I've seen the black one, but I prefer the SFC colours since we had them too on PAL SNES's.

I remember seeing the black ones on ebay like a year ago, but I chose not to buy one at that time :(

They're still shown at the Buffalo japanese site.

This thread just got linked to from a "The Best Controllers for Retro Gaming" Lifehacker article
The Buffalo Classic controller has stellar reviews on Amazon and comes recommended from both How-To Geek and Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games. It also often tops out lists from the likes of NeoGAF, Reddit, and Racketboy.

I had no idea there was a thread for this controller. Got mine a couple of years ago and love it! It works great in MAME too.

This controller is awesome - it's my main emulation pad.

(Though, I do use a PS3/PC Fighting Commander pad for Genesis games since it has the 6-button layout.)
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!
