Pokemon Crystal Clear is a rom hack of Pokemon Crystal. It basically turns it into an open-world Pokemon game.

What's new? A lot! Here's a short list:
-Start in any town in Johto or Kanto.
-Select from 30 different starters, or inject your own
-Character and gender select
-Change character color
-Forced story elements/barriers have been removed
-Gyms now scale based on badges, and can be rematched
Check the docs for all the changes. I'm a few hours in and I'm hooked. I highly recommend this hack for fans of the older Pokemon games.
