I posted this in the Random Gaming Thoughts thread last week:

I just caught this recent PSN release - a 2008 JPN PS2 game

To pay tribute to ADK, SNK included the Neo-Geo version along with four of ADK's other notable Neo-Geo titles in the compilation, ADK Tamashii (ADK魂?), which was released for the PlayStation 2 exclusively in Japan on December 8, 2008.

ADK DAMASHII™

SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION
PSN Game
Released Feb 24, 2017

Ganggang Kohshinkyoku (abbreviated ADK) is a one-on-one fighting arcade game that includes the ability to fight on multiple planes.

Ninja Master's: Haō Ninpō Chō is a ninja-themed one-on-one fighting game that allows players to switch between weapon-based and hand-to-hand fighting styles.

Ninja Combat is a 1991 side-scrolling action game and one of the earliest NEOGEO games and is also famous for its skill-based gameplay and high difficulty.

Ninja Commando is a top down, vertically scrolling run and gun arcade game that features a unique feature where special moves can be launched with specific fighting game-like command inputs.

Twinkle Star Sprites is a competitive scrolling shooter that combines elements of shoot-em-ups with puzzle game elements.

Note: This is an import title which means it is only available in Japanese

What I guess is similar to the PSOne classics they released that were only in Japanese, they brought this to the US marketplace despite no translation.

I know TSS was released on Steam last year, but from an inexpensive console avenue, I'm interested.

There are three PS2 games in the THQ Nordic humble bundle - incredibly inexpensive right now!

Also - the GTA trilogy is $21, $7 for each game is typically the best sale I've seen on those games.

I had no idea Sony was still doing development on this... Very cool!

Good looking out. They also added Fatal Fury Battle Archive Vol 2. Interesting to see a lot of SNK PS2 sets making their way over (Metal Slug Anthology is still the most expensive PS2 on PS4 game at $19.99).

But is the Metal Slug anthology on PS2 any good or is it mired by slowdown? Can't remember if it was this one or the Wii version.

I don't remember much in the way of slowdown on the Wii version.

I seem to remember there being a PSP version and that suffering from lots of slowdown though?

IIRC the Wii version was superior to ps2. I'm not sure if those issues affect the PS4 vers.

Quick update to the main list - Psychonauts is not the PS2 version on PS4, it's the version Double Fine put out in 2013 for PSN. They have it tagged as PS2 on PS4 however.

With the flash sale this weekend, a bunch of PS2 on PS4 games are 60% off. PaRappa 2 was an easy get. I watched trailers for every game they had on sale - also grabbed FantaVision, Hot Shots Tennis, and Ape Escape 2 (the last i've questioned myself on, I wish the original PS1 game was available on PSN also; i remember playing that).
