Nice, I hadn't heard of Death Mark. Looks like it's not coming to Europe, but I managed to order a copy from a UK retailer I use that stocks some imports. I even had a £5 off voucher to redeem, so bonus!

I can understand that. I personally have amassed quite the Vita collection. It's been a very fun, and rather expensive platform to collect for. I say expensive, because most of its releases were printed in a highly limited fashion, or only received English versions as Asian import releases. For a fan of Japanese game design, the Vita is a true boon. I think the Vita will become a popular platform for retro gamers years down the road. A lot of people missed something amazing with this platform during its actual run. I wonder how expensive some of the Vita exclusives will eventually become.

Hopefully very. It's going to be my pension :P

BTW, did any of you pre-order this? It's still available if you're interested. No idea what shipping is like to the US sorry https://www.redartgames.com/accueil/23- ... 15070.html

How the hell do I save my game? I put several hours in tonight and lost all my progress because I had to go to bed and there's no menu system, no manual save, no prompt ever came up and there's no auto save. Wtf?

My Vita copy arrived in the mail earlier today, but I don't know when I'll actually get around to playing it.

I don't know, but this FAQ references being able to save your game multiple times:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/switch/225670-death-mark/faqs/74929

So apparently it IS possible to do.

Ahhh thank you! Looks like I'm about to reach my first save opportunity (yes, I did start a new game and skip through everything to get to where I was).

My copy will apparently be arriving tomorrow. I'm not in the middle of any other games at the moment, so it will be a good time to play it once I get it :) (although even if I was playing something else I would probably put it on hold to play Death Mark anyway haha).

I'm not seeing a lot of press about it so a lot of people probably missed it, but apparently there will be a few more physical retail games! :D

NISA announced recently that they will be releasing three more Vita titles which are: The Lost Child, Penny-Punching Princess, and The Longest 5 Minutes. All of these have already gotten physically released on other platforms but I personally don't mind much as long as they're good. I don't have any of them yet so I wouldn't be rebuying them or anything haha. Has anyone played any of these already?

Apparently the release for these will be on March 19th 2019. I feel like that's cutting it really close so we'll see if it actually happens!

Speaking as someone who is mostly only interested in Vita's JRPGs...

I can see this system one day being popular among those who collect full sets of games. But the quality of these games is severely lacking -- countless examples of weeb bait, eroge dungeon crawlers, and so on. Incredibly disappointing compared to the 3DS, DS, PSP, and basically any popular retro handheld or console. I can't see folks earnestly discussing "Vita hidden gems" decades down the road.

As it stands now, I think the best Vita games are actually ports and/or multi-platform titles. If there are any obscurities worth playing that I haven't discovered, I hope they end up ported to the Switch (or whatever) where they'll be more accessible.
