Can CFW on a 3/2DS change the region?

New.. New Nintendo 2DS LLs are like $140 CAD shipped from Japan.

I have a modded 2DS and a stock New 3DS XL. Still wouldn't mind a New 2DS.

It's been quite a while since i put the CFW on the 2DS so i'm not up to date on what's new these days. If i bought an New 2DS LL could i change the region to play my NA physical games and have everything in English? Better yet region free. I'd like to buy one now while they are cheap before they become like $500 in a year or two hehe.

You can make them region free, my Australian 3DS XL has played through 3 or 4 Japanese releases.

The games will play however they were programmed to do so, I play JPN Picross 3D R2 on my AUS 3DS XL and it is in Japanese.

I guess i could have worded that part better. What i meant by "everything in English" was the system menu.

Oh I get you. I am pretty sure that the Japanese 3DS line only display Japanese as a language, pretty sure you can modify and perma change the region so it displays in English (rather than being region free for games)
