That thread with the stars in the title bugs the shit out of me though. Hate allcaps, *, # and other symbol spamming in post titles. If I see a "LOOK" or "MUST SEE" I might have to cut some bitches.

What about "RARE" is that ok? :P

What is a good time to bump a thread? Is around 5pm EST or 7pm EST better?

We have a small community and generally you'll stay on page 1 no matter what time you bump it.

For larger communities like NA, the later the better in my experience, but I don't know that it's a hard and fast rule.

Was wondering if any one could give me an idea of how taxes work out for online sales?

Been looking around online, but it's confusing as hell.

Basically I was wondering if anyone who has been selling games online for a while now could give me an idea of what to expect. Just the basics do I just file my earnings with my income taxes, and how bad is the tax. I keep seeing 30% tax on all income from sales after the allowance of $400 has been reached and that scares the hell out of me.

P.S.
If there is a better place to field this question feel free to toss it in the proper forum or thread.

So prices are better than no prices? That's good to know actually. I took my prices down due to lack of response but I guess I just have to get better stuff haha

I hate pricing stuff, but I hate making offers even more. You never know when someone might have an inflated opinion of their stuff and get offended by an offer that doesn't meet their lofty expectations. At least when there's a price listed you know when you shouldn't even bother with someone.

my experience is price things. If they're not moving, you need to lower the prices.

I think "make an offer" is okay when you're selling something that falls into the "rare but not valuable" category (ie: low supply and low demand).

For instance, I had no set price when I had this in my sales thread. TRS-80 games aren't listed on sites like VGPriceCharts and determining a "market price" is all but impossible - it's "worth" whatever a TRS-80 collector is willing to pay.

It is pretty easy to determine a fair price for most games though.
