I like the kickstand and the extra internal storage but not enough to go through the hassle of upgrading. Still, nice improvements all around for someone in the market for a new Switch. I wonder why they didn't announce this at E3? I guess they didn't want to let down the folks expecting a Switch Pro?

Bigger screen, OLED display. That's most of what counts. Could probably be argued to be worth $50, but I'd rather see the cost of the entire Switch line come down a little.

I was hoping for a pen holder.

If it can't cook chicken, it's not new gen tech.

Maybe if you hooked it up to liquid cooling you could sous vide with it?

I think that's the KFC 360, but the chicken cooker is real.

I've been holding off on getting a Switch because of the rumored "Switch Pro" - since this is as close as we're getting to that for now, I'll be getting one! I see myself playing it handheld more than anything else anyway, so the OLED should be nice.

A price increase on an older console? thats a new strategy isn't it?

marurun wrote:I think the next console Nintendo releases will still be a Switch, but it will be more like a Switch 2, and I don’t think we will see it until Switch console and game sales start to decrease in the face of Sony’s and Microsoft’s current gen consoles. And that’s unlikely to happen until supply constraints aren’t keeping people from getting their hands on those current gem consoles.

That time looks no where near, Switch sales are demolishing PS5/XBsX, and imo the Switch hardware is still very current. At 80M units sold it makes me wonder why no other company is even trying to take a bite out of that market, they are just leaving Nintendo dance alone in the handhelds category. I am also surprised with the strong sales as I thought that now most people own smartphones and tablets that will surely eat into Nintendo handheld sales but the numbers are equal or better to DS/Gameboy levels.
