So I went to Glacier and Waterton National Parks a few weeks ago. Here are some pics I took:
Couple shots from Switfcurrent Lake
Apikuni Falls
Grinnell Glacier and Grinnell Falls from Josephine Lake
Grinnell Falls
Spotted a moose
The next day we spotted a bear!
Awesome. But stay over there, Mr. Bear.
After that, we went for a walk up to Hidden Lake. There were a lot of animals to be seen.
Ground Squirrels were everywhere.
But they posed so purty I had to take a picture of them.
Birds were abundant, too.
And then, what did I spy coming up over the ridge?
Goats!
And even better?
Baby goat! I was so happy
They didn't seem bothered by us at all.
Just kept going on their way.
So fluffy...
One would think, with all the people taking pictures of it, that the baby goat would be bothered. But he seemed more bemused, than anything.
This one snuck up on us at some point while the other two were walking merrily on their way.
Marvel at his cuteness, damn it.
Pretty sure they all just came up to get a drink of water.
There were also sheep up on the ridge
Sat down for a snack and were harassed by this little bugger
At least it was pretty up there.
Waterton was nice, too. But there were fires blazing while we were up there, so we only had a couple mornings where we could do any exploring without fear of coughing up a lung.
At least we got to get up close and personal with the sheep, who came down from the mountain just as we had reached the end of the trail and were starting to head back.
They're cool, but their eyes are kind of freaky.
This was clearly not their first rodeo, cause they kept looking down the trail to see if anyone else was coming.
Most of them ran off, but this one seemed to be waiting for us to leave.
Other than all the horrible smoke due to the fires going on, it ended up being a good trip. Luckily, we got there before it got too bad, so it only messed up our plans for the last couple days of the trip.

Man, thanks for posting. Some incredible shots there.
I really need to get out of KS and trip to Colorado sometime for something like that.

Took a trip to Cloudland Canyon last Saturday. That's a GA state park about an 1.5 hours NW of Atlanta. We took Sitton's Gulch Trail (starts at canyon rim and goes to canyon bottom). It was a cold and dreary day, the kinda weather I love, but not the best lighting conditions for photos. But here's a few I shrunk down to forum size:
Looking down into the canyon, it's about ~1000 feet to the bottom.
One of a couple waterfalls you see along the canyon bottom.
Most of the canyon waterway was like this. My dogs loved jumping on the rocks.
Pretty nice place, I recommend it if you're in the area. I will warn you that the 2.5 mile hike back up from the end of Sitton trail is no joke. Feel the burn!

Dat poo...
That's how I fertilize a field. No manure spreader, no uptown nitrogen. Our cows work for me and I pay them with hay.
Also the ice melted and ran the creek over. I can usually cross here.
