I just finished Half a king - Shattered sea. I liked the book a lot and I think it had much of the same colors as a Song of ice and fire. A good story with realistic characters - I liked it. I'm not sure is the next book published yet for this series but it should be out this summer.

Finished "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" last night. Also finished the first two books some time ago (IDK if I mentioned that before).

And also read "Batman: RIP". Meh.

Much better than the movie, as usual.

Book 4 of Wheel of Time down. So far each book has had some neat ideas but still kinda feels like Monster of the Week stretched around an epic story. This week watch the dragon reborn match wits against the dark hounds and somehow travel to the desert... Dont get me wrong, I still enjoy the story, I just think it is funny. Started Book 5 this morning.

Also mine and my wife's vacation reading books came in:

She is halfway through the Chernow biography of Hamilton so the Hamiltone was the obvious pickup. Me, I have some knowledge of small arms but would like to know more.

I finished reading 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald a couple of days ago. Man, that was one good book. Still holds up today and just a fantastic read. I highly recommend it to anybody.

Started reading 'The Talismans of Shannara' by Terry Brooks.

He is my favorite author and it is my favorite series. I read the first trilogy and this is the final book in the quadology.

Love that one. Here's my favorite take on it.

I just finished reading Doom Knee Deep in the Dead.

I really wanted it to be good but it falls short. Pretty cool to see items and monsters from the games, but I didn't care for the authors' (yes, it was co-written) style at all. It seemed like someone's first book to be honest. Way too much time describing trivial parts then in an action section that could've been fleshed out the main character/narrator thinks/says something along the lines of: "they weren't even worth describing"... what!? Just overall not written well.
