Anybody on this board still watch this crap?
I literally forced myself to watch season 8 and missed the mid season finale and had no idea it started up last night. I need to catch episode 8 and last nights, only because I've already invested too much to quit on this show even though it's went downhill to me.

I tried to force myself to watch this season. On the one hand Negan is an amazing villain/actor which is the only thing that kept me going. On the other hand all of the scenarios are pretty much rinse and repeat from the previous seasons, which is what you get when you stretch for so long a zombie survival story. There's just not much that you can do before you start repeating yourself, especially when they want to maintain the status quo of them being survivors.

And seeing how the comic book is nowhere near ending itself, I can see this show being cancelled because of low ratings before it reaches some form of conclusion.

I've been trying to keep up. But even I kinda forgot it was on last Sunday.

I think that may be a sign.

I have the latest episode recorded but haven't watched more than a few minutes of it. Right on that it's just repeating itself. It's frustrating because there has been some good character development in the past but it all gets washed away in an instant and then the long build up to regaining that character development. It feels like dang near every character is interchangeable. They see good in people and don't want to kill anybody, they see bad in people and want to kill everybody, rinse and repeat. Every now and then there is a good episode but they've only recently been good because of the action and situations they get into but as for the characters, they're about as deep as a random zombie that looks like it might've had an interesting former job or something.

Killing Carl wasn't just jumping the shark, it's going full Jaws 3D.

Killing Carl wasn't really the shows choice though. Was it?
