Like everything else in life, it depends.

When I used to work in NYC, I’d take mass transit (bus to Manhattan; train getting around Manhattan). Friday’s I’d maybe drive in since day parking rates were cheap enough for a day (not everyday as the costs would add up). Given the effects of the pandemic and the increase crime rate, especially in the public transportation sector, I would be uncomfortable taking the bus and completely avoid the train. If my job asks me to go back to the city to work again (they won’t but if they did), they better pay me enough to cover gas, tolls, and parking. Public transportation is not an option.

If it’s a one time trip, I’ll drive. Even during the weekdays. Driving during the weekends is more forgiving however, because you can park in the streets in places like SoHo.

It's less of an option where I live. At least when I lived in Florida they had buses, but they didn't run 24-7.

Ah, the joys of performance art.

I’m note sure random shopping lists, real or imagined, are the most appropriate content for this thread.

I've never heard of "Food Lion" outside of REPO's epic tales.

I'm just gonna pretend it's fictional. Don't tell me otherwise.

Food Lion certainly does FEEL fictional, even when you're in one of their stores.

Mass transit in NYC and directly outside of the area do run 24/7. The issue is both the quality of the experience and safety have gone down. So much so that I would personally avoid travel by those means. Obviously if I have no choice that’s understandable.

I’ve been lurking for awhile before I joined so I have a bit of an idea where you’re at. Resort areas I’m sure are pretty sparse with public transportation.

The closest Food Lion to NY is Delaware. Duck Donuts are in NJ. Never been to one though.

So we're going to ignore the fact that my year-old nephew is in the hospital?
