Far East of Eden 4 Saturn translation project? What happened

Post by ninjainspandex »

Back in 2008 someone started working an a full English translation http://segaxtreme.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=16115

But what ever came of it?

And what about the other games on the PC Engine have they or will they ever be translated? I really want to play this series and I really don't like the idea of using an FAQ to get through it.

It's not uncommon for people to abandon these translation projects, unfortunately.

The good news is, one game in the series does have a full translation. Oriental Blue:

I haven't played too many of these games, but I do have Tengai Makyou Zero on the Super Famicom. It's a lot of fun.

Well that is disappointing, Far East of Eden 4 looks like another stunning RPG that Bernie Stolar cockblocked  looks like it got a rerelease on the PSP so it seems like it would be a no brainer to translate the psp version since it is very simple to play custom ISOs on a psp without any hard modchips like in the Saturn.

Had no idea there was a Far East of Eden on the GBA, is it any good? I might have to load it onto my EZ Flash IV

Haven't played the GBA game. It's been on my Want List for some time...

Do you own the Neo Geo fighting game spin-off?

Surprisingly the fighting game is pretty fun. If you like Waku Waku you'll have fun with it.

The PC Engine fighter is also pretty fun. A bit generic, yes, but the mechanics are nicely polished, so it plays very well.
