Ultracore (Hardcore) for MD can be found now

by PresidentLeever Fri Jan 17, 2020 2:31 pm

It's on google. The game is pretty cool, plays a lot like Turrican 3/Mega Turrican and sounds like a Jesper Kyd game.

It's supposed to be on Switch, and TBA for PS4 and PS Vita. Gamefaqs info.

It's also on that Mega SG thingy.

I have the Switch version. The controls were really awkward at first until I realised the second stick could be used to shoot in 8 directions. Once I realised that it was a lot of fun.

A digital version is launching sometime soon.

That's cool that they added that. I was fine with the free aim mode on MD for the most part, you can aim lock or stand still and aim, but I had to switch fire to A in emulation.

I ended up getting a physical copy of the Genesis version. I don't know why I bought it since I never really played, played enough, of a Turrican game to get into the genre. With that being said, my initial play of the game let me down. Once I sat down and changed my mindset that it was not Megaman (which is the closest to a Turrican game I have played... which is not close at all) I loved it. It is hard, but every time I play I get farther. I'm starting to really dig it... which is good since I spent $60 on a physical cart from Strictly Limited Games.

Nice. They actually change things up in the last level, which is a lot more straightforward except for a couple of minor puzzles.

I dug the later bosses, the upgrade system and the music the most I think. Could've had more variety between the weapons, and visually between the levels.

I'd also advice you to save up on ammo as much as possible for the last couple of levels.
