Using modchip w Japanese Saturn in USA
So after a year of ebay searching, I got a racketboy modchip. I would hate to fry it because of some power irregularity between a 100v Saturn and 110v electricity in USA. I know it is generally OK to use the system here, but does anyone have advice? My NTSC Saturn has a suspect laser...

Older modchips only work on certain systems without further modding. Most often they're for "model 2" or round-button versions. Phantom Universal claims to have fixed that. https://www.r43ds.org/products/Phantom-Universal-Sega-Saturn-Modchip.html
Saturn modchips just enable CD-R. Legit imports is a separate matter.
PAL games can work too, keep in mind your system will default to run them at 60hz.
