Re: What are you playing?
I need to run! I’m playing Ghostrunner 2 and Runner 3. The former is totally awesome and builds on its predecessor. The latter is fine, but kind of a let down after the sublime Runner 2.

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024
G.I. Joe is very solid on the NES. A few others to consider: All of Capcom’s “Disney Afternoon” games are fun, breezy adventures (especially if they have the word “duck” in the title!). Clash at Demonhead is awesome. It’s not too hard, but you’ll need to do some reading to figure out what to do. Tha...

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024
The SNES Prince of Persia may be the recommended HG101 version, but it also has LOTS of new content and changes over the original. I'd say it's different enough that it's more like PoP 1.5. In light of that, I might actually recommend the PC Engine CD/ TG-CD version or the Mac version. The TG-CD re...

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024
First, DKCR is a first-rate platformer. I loved it. Unpopular opinion…it is way better than any game in the SNES DKC trilogy. Here’s what I’m thinking for this summer: BurgerTime - Classic single-screen arcade goodness. I’ll play to beat the default high score and also to loop the levels. Looping th...

Re: Games Acquired 2024
Yikes! My copy arrived yesterday, and it’s still sealed. I’ll leave it that way until either the game has been patched more or I sell it to fund the purchase of another version.

Re: Games Acquired 2024
It was me! My copy arrives this weekend. I’ve read that the game is awesome, but apparently, the Switch version performs very poorly. :( It was recently patched, though, and I’m hopeful that improves the performance a bit. Thank you! The game looks awesome. Oh no about the Switch version though! :(...

Re: What are you playing?
How much did you like Finding Teddy 2? It's long been on my 'if I have nothing better to play' list! I’m enjoying it. It’s a very chill metroidvania. Aesthetically, it’s reminiscent of Fez, with a mostly muted color palette, a quiet soundtrack, and a general sense of mystery, sadness, and decay. Li...
