Seinen anime is typically more episodic and is typically easier to follow. Shonen is much more of a commitment of time. It’s also why I watch more anime movies than shows. Another huge factor was that Seinen fans were typically more chill and accepting of western cartoons than shonen fans.

Personally I prefer Seinen anime.
