Re: Turbografx 16 mini announced by konami!

So, I was pretty bummed about this being delayed (1st world problems), but then I noticed it was available in Japan. So I ordered a pc engine mini off of amazon japan, and it got delivered in less than a week. Freakin crazy! DHL actually transported it to my house in what looks like less than 36 hou...

Re: Turbografx 16 mini announced by konami!

Actually, looks like this got posted over the weekend. Cool! m And i think they have similar videos for the other two regions. Just watched this video. They had a narrator describe every game individually. The poor copy writer had to write dozens of different ways to describe a shoot 'em up game. A...

Re: Turbografx 16 mini announced by konami!

So we're a little over 3 months out, and it seems like the initial hype has completely dissipated. Is Konami gonna repeat the sins of the past and completely ignore marketing this thing when it launches?

Anyone heard any other cool news since TGS?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I agree it's too early for PS5 and Scarlett or whatever xbox is calling it. The main thing driving the upgrade is graphical ptocessing. But while games are looking incredible on these new systems, not once have i been like, omg, i have to get this new system for that game. So why come in ut with a n...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

Zelda II can go screw itself. That is all. It's funny how one's opinion can be shaped by so many different factors. There are some NES games that I found to be frustratingly, impossibly hard when I played as a child. Hudson's Adventure Island and Castlevania stand out to me. Then there are others t...

Re: Rate the series - Resident Evil

Poor RE 6, it gets so much hate. I get why people don't like it but I always felt it was great and a logical extension of the series. I mean, sure in the initial games your characters would be clunky and scared because who the hell would actually be prepared to fight zombies and other terrors, but ...

Re: Turbografx 16 mini announced by konami!

I know they're including a lot of games, but $100 does feel like they're pushing it a bit. SNES has more cultural cachet, but cost $80. Valid point. Didn't SONY already prove that the market will not bear a hundred dollar price point for this type of product? I mean... you and I know that SONY botc...
