Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread

Yeah, I legit don't remember other anime cutscenes from Rondo but most of my experience with Rondo has been the PSP version (and now the PS4 port of said version). So it makes since I don't remember other scenes if they exist in the original. I know I've played some of the original Rondo on an emul...

Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread

Is it similar to the The Dracula X Chronicles on the PSP? I played Rondo on that and was wondering if it was worth hunting this newer version. That version was a remake of Rondo and had the original PC Engine version and a port of SotN as an unlock. Castlevania Requiem is a PS4 collection of Rondo ...

Re: New Forum Themes/Styles Feedback

One thing that I really hated with the preview of Milk is that it had all of the avatars as circles. I thought it would auto crop our avatars to circles, but they all appear as squares or rectangles to me. Maybe that's an option you were able to turn off? It just looks so awful IMO. I like all of th...

Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread

You know, Ziggy, you could just put the... art of the Castlevania box as your avatar. I was wondering how long it would take someone to look up the UPC. Speaking of avatars... Popo, fix your avatar! Original Rondo also has cutscenes at various points in the game to show aspects of the s...

Re: What are you playing?

Ugh, I hate losing progress like that in an RPG. At least you didn't lose your save entirely. But it sounds like you're just not a big fan of the game anyway.

Re: New Forum Themes/Styles Feedback

Is it me, or is the font size slightly larger on Milk versus ProSilver? I've been having to zoom in to read the forum (using Ctrl + mouse wheel) with ProSilver.

Re: New Forum Themes/Styles Feedback

Milk is cool that one of the options in the backend is to change which side the avatars are on (plus many other preferences). So I just noticed that Milk is available. I just switched to it, and it looks LOADS better than the preview. It was really hard to tell how it would look with a better color...

Re: New Forum Themes/Styles Feedback

I guess I didn't remember that the boxes were actually light. I always thought of it as a "dark" theme. LOL, that's pretty funny actually. I never thought of it as a dark theme. Taken from the Wayback Machine... https://i.imgur.com/lbjkLs3.jpeg The text boxes have a light background with ...

Re: I just bought an oXbox for the first time (sorta)

All of this is what I think , and not necessarily 100% fact... oXbox games are padded up the wazoo. So a straight ISO is a very large file (most are DL, over 4.7GB, from what I've seen so far) but the XISO image is much smaller. Apparently all oXbox games have a video partition on the disc, so if yo...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

OK, OK. I'm not taking any sides, but at the end of the day this is a retro gaming forum. I love that we can go off-topic now and again, but far too often has this thread in particular gone off the rails. I'm locking it for now. Another moderator can feel free to override me and unlock it, but if yo...
