Re: Why modern games suck

I think a lot of modern AAA games fall under a few categories: 1. Open world 2. Competitive online 3. Heavy Story For me the issue is none of these styles of games really interest me. Theres always exceptions though and the indie scene definitely adds a lot to the diversity of game styles and that’s...

Re: Time to vote for August Together Retro!

Thanks everyone for the PS1 emulation tips if anything I'll stick with Harmful Park for now, I don't have that much time to game. I voted for Wacky PS1/PS2 and Non Violent games. Lately I've been really into rhythm games so I'll probably dig into one of those for the non violent categories. Maybe Voez

Re: Time to vote for August Together Retro!

Great info Exhuminator, I'm definitely looking for easy so I'll check out PSX. Hopefully there's a version for Mac. What about using a PS3? I've used it to play games off a disc and find the emulation decent enough

Re: Time to vote for August Together Retro!

Wow, all of the categories interest me this time around. This might have to be the first TR I participate in Question though, what is PS1 emulation like? I'd like to vote for that category but I do not own the two games I have in mind for it (Vib Ribbon and Harmful Park) Other than that I really don...

I know there's shooter/arcade fans here, in case you missed this. It allows you to play your switch handheld in tate mode. Really cool project m https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/021/641/197/c22e44f9a9941930ccaff0fc88d45f9d_original.png?w=680&fit=max&v=1529486190&auto=format&lossless=...

Re: 2018 - the year in gaming anticipation

I'm super-excited to try Konami's new Bemani game, Dance Rush, when my arcade gets it. The gameplay is pretty different from DDR , but looks like it's way more fun than Dance Evolution. I'm pretty sure Round 1 arcades in the US have an exclusive deal to import machines, and I'm hoping mine gets two...

Re: lol @ anyone playing NES instead of Famicom in 2018

What I love is when I find that Famicom ports are different than the NES ports. Like Fantasy Zone, which looks and plays better than the US game. Or Tetris, or Star Wars (still don't have that one). Or even Super Mario Bros 3, which shrinks you to small Mario when hit no matter what power you had (...
