Re: Question about cans of duster
Meh. If that's your response to anything moderately risky, you're not going to experience much of life. A few balloons of nitrous during your quarterly mushroom trip is an astounding experience, and one with very few downsides. You take a much bigger risk, for a much smaller payoff every time you ho...

Don't like Civ, don't like Deus Ex. Good god man. What do you like?

Re: Question about cans of duster
Yeah, they card for these in NE. It's expensive shit too. Regarding the "how does it work" question, canned air isn't just air. It's a fluorocarbon that acts like a drug. It has a lot of non-specific effects on neurons, from changing the properties of ion channels, to altering the fluidity...

Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown (on 360/PS3)
I don't know how XCOM could be considered dull. Sure you have to move across the map slowly, but the level of tension when any false step could lead to death is off the charts. That's exciting. It also has the same "just one more turn" appeal that Civilization does. Hell, I spend most of m...

What a crazy name for a game! I'll have to check it out.

Re: Together RPG - Action RPG - Crystalis 11/11-1/11/14
Ah, you may have caught me on a slip-up. I played Ys on the Turbo CD, so it might not be 8-bit. It definitely had that vibe though. The TG-16 is 16-bit like the 32X is 32-bit. Which is, not really at all. The CPU is what matters. I would be interested in trying out some 8-bit turn-based stuff too t...

It's a real shame this game never made it to the NGPC.

Re: 2014 Together Retro Calendar
Because of how much you argue over it. That's a good reason to select it, IMO. Stimulating discussion is the whole point. Also, expet changes to how we handle nominations to TR next year. Good. No one can keep up with 50 pages of thread, and TR doesn't really need to be a democracy. Votes are great...

Re: 2014 Together Retro Calendar
I'm sure this has been rehashed somewhere in this 50 page thread, but why? Even if you don't like the game, it is a landmark title that deserves to be experienced and discussed. You could even consider a Together Retro feature on Deus Ex as an opportunity to educate people about its failings. If the...
