Re: Games Beaten 2020

25th August 2020 - Front Mission: Gun Hazard (SFC, emulated on PC) So I think Front Mission: Gun Hazard had a bad time when it first released, since although it had the Front Mission name, it was now a side-scrolling run and gun shooter with RPG elements, rather than the heavily-customisable SRPG t...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

17th August 2020 - Final Fantasy XII (PS2, emulated on PC with PCSX2) I haven't posted anything here in what feels like an age, because I was playing Final Fantasy XII and it took me about 55 hours to get to the end. I've been trying to clear my backlog, and decided to actually reduce my gaming lib...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

@Ack - thanks for posting your thoughts on BR: Winter of the Wolf. I think I might eventually pick it up and give it a go, based on your impressions, and will skip playing the first game. 19th July 2020 - Steamworld Heist (PS Vita) I recently had a few euros left in my PSN account after purchasing a...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

@Ack - great write-up of Battle Realms. I'd heard of it but never tried it, so thanks for fleshing out my mental picture of what it'd be like to play. 13th July 2020 - Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (PSP, played on PS Vita) Let me preface this by saying that I know my past "games beaten" e...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

8th July 2020 - Assassin's Creed Chronicles (PS Vita) This is a collection of three games, featuring the stories of different assassins during some less frequently utilised settings in gaming: feudal China in 1526, colonial India in 1841, and the Russian October Revolution in 1918. Diverging from t...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

24th June 2020: Armored Core 3 Portable (PSP, played on PS Vita) So I went through this one having bounced off it years ago - my interest was rekindled by playing AC Silent Line Portable a few days before. I finished that one having spent time getting used to the controls, and exploring the differe...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

Huh, weird. I've never had any of those problems, although I don't have a SD2Vita and am just using an official 8gb memory card.

Re: Games Beaten 2020

How'd you get TRA on your Vita? I bought it on PSN and when I went to install it from my download list on my Vita it said it couldn't be installed. Ah, sorry - it might be a region difference. I'm in the EU, and I was able to just buy and download TRA from the PSN on my Vita. That said, I've experi...

Re: Games Beaten 2020

My fav would be the second airport stage from KoF99 - the sunset colours, plus the heat haze coming from the jet engine is pure bliss. I don't think I've ever actually played through a King of Fighters game from start to finish though, but going back to my own games beaten: 19th June 2020 - Tomb Rai...

Re: Next-Gen Apathy

I'm with Omerta on the face-melting arcade action (although I don't really use any modern consoles for social gaming). I get much more excited at the prospect of spending 30-45 minutes plugging away at some tough CPU opponents in Neo Geo's Samurai Shodown IV, or Sega Saturn's Virtual On than I do at...
