Re: The Splatoon Thread

So yeah, this game is pretty much a must have for my collection. Haven't really been all that interested in many new releases lately, so it's great to see something where I'm thinking... "I have no idea what I just watched, but I like it."

Re: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS3/PS4/PC)

Bumping the topic for a bit, but... 2.4 was released today! Along with the usual additions to the story and dungeons, we also got a new the new Rogue class and Ninja job. A lot of people have been playing as rogue (myself included) and so far I've been really enjoying the class. It's also been hilar...

Re: Are the Zelda games approachable?

We've got the same taste for the 2D titles but we diverge completely on the 3D games. I'm not saying Skyward Sword or Twilight were bad games but by the end of it I was just happy to finally be done. Wind Waker, on the other hand, is a joy to me every single play through. What was it that Twilight ...

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far

If you could get Watchdogs on a superior format why don't you? I'm really curious. The WiiU game supposedly is not no par with the others of similar strength and they won't be releasing any of the added DLC data if you're into that either. It's a stripped release for full price. To show support, ma...

I remember renting that way back when and had a blast with it. I also recall it was one of the few N64 games that I played that utilized the controller pak.

Re: Earthbound Sucks!

There's less tedious combat in EarthBound compared to other similar games of the era due to no random encounters + automatic victories against weak enemies. Not too much grinding needs to be done either. Compare this to Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy II, Lufia, Dragon Quest V, Phantasy Star II, Vay,...

Re: Earthbound Sucks!

Don't be such a dick ZeroAX, there's no need to go backseat mod and resurrect a three year old thread just to talk about a game. Back to the topic, the biggest problem with Earthbound is that the art direction and humour can't disguise the fact that it's pretty much a Dragon Quest clone. You can on...

Re: What Games Make You Think of Halloween?

Does Majora's Mask on the Virtual Console have the same audio skips that it did on the Collector's Edition version? That was how I first played that game. The skips weren't that annoying to me, but were noticeable. Eventually I grabbed a copy on the N64 for 10 bucks and sort of restarted from there...
