Hi, I bought one of Racketboy's VGA boxes a while back, which works fine with my old CRT monitor, but refuses to work with my new LCD TV (I've checked all cables and connections; they're all fine - the TV just displays a black screen and says "no signal" every time I try it). I read somewh...

Anyone know if I'd have any more luck getting my DC working with a HDTV if I used a VGA cable as opposed to the VGA box? (I heard that some TVs don't like whatever it is the box does to the signal, and wondered if the straight cable might solve it.)

I've got a VGA box (that I bought from Racketboy, no less), that works fine with my old non-widescreen CRT monitor, but won't work on my new HD telly - presumably it can't display the required 640x480. If your monitor can display the resolution it'll automatically switch to it, but I don't think you...

Will Geometry Wars work independently of Project Gotham 2 (on a modded Xbox)? I can never be bothered to load that up to get a quick game in. Would be nice to have GW on its own to run from the hard drive.

Many, many thanks go to Racketboy for replacing my chip; the new one is in place and well and truly working. Burning discs (that work) is proving my next obstacle, though I hope that can be fixed by my not using the cheapest CD-Rs I can find in the future. My burnt copy of Radiant Silvergun does wor...

Did you try all of these? m Yeah, I've had a look at that page, and I've followed what it says. The chip was filed down and fitted snugly; all connections seem fine (and are clean), and I've only tested original discs with it. The disc drive just plays dead when the chip's inserted - when it's unpl...

Following Cerulean's advice (thanks!), I've now had a friend round with his soldering boots on to solder the power link cable to the socket on the board. I've also had a chance to check the connections to the signal cable and they're definitely not touching any pins other than pin 14. When the Satur...

A "Help! My Saturn modchip's not working!" thread

Hi, A couple of weeks ago, I bought a modchip from Racketboy for my PAL Model 2 (round buttoned) Saturn. I'm a bit wary of soldering, so, having read that others had done so successfully, I tried "wedging" the red power lead in place, and made a nifty little hook on the end of the black le...
