Phantom 2040 is an action platformer based on the comicbook/sci-fi animated series from the mid-1990's. It is heavily influenced by Nintendo's Metroid series.
Panzer Dragoon Saga has a lot of things going for it. Not only is it one of the Games That Defined The Sega Saturn, but it is arguably one of the best console RPGs of all time and a highly sought-after collectors item in its original form.
Naturally, we will start with the intro cut scene that begins this epic adventure. You may initially think that the voice acting is in Japanese, but it is actually a unique language designed specifically for the game. "Panzerese", consists of a mixture of German, Japanese and Latin terms and syntax — during cutscenes, and an involving storyline that continues throughout the series.
In some of the clips, you will see PD Saga's unique take on the standard RPG battle format. It maintains some of the feel of the original Panzer Dragoon games which were all on-rails shooters.
