Complete SEALED Japanese Dreamcast Game Library on eBay
As we’ve discussed before, sealed games yield quite a premium over their opened counterparts when it comes to collectors. This is especially true of games that are rare to begin with. So imagine my amazement when forum member, lost_within posted this massive eBay auction that includes every single Japanese Dreamcast game in sealed condition.
As if it weren’t enough that the seller is offering every regular-issue game (which would be a feat in itself), but this also includes every single limited edition release and box set as well. The seller has pretty solid feedback, so it should be legit, but it will be interesting to see if somebody will pony up the cash.
From the item description:
“606 games, including all Dorikore reprints, all games in “deluxe version” when they were released as normal AND deluxe versions!” …. “Games are BRAND NEW, FACTORY SEALED, all CD case sized ones protected with extra plastic bag from dust&stuff! It will take you YEARS of collecting& searching, like me, to find all of them!” (read full description with list of every game included)
That’s right, the Japanese Dreamcast library includes some rare & valuable gems in them that are quite expensive even in opened condition. Some of the highlights include:
- Border Down DX Pack
- Cleopatra Fortune
- Twinkle Star Sprites
- Space Channel 5 Part 2 Dreamcast Direct Special Box
- De La Jet Set Radio Dreamcast Direct Limited Box
- Segagaga Dreamcast Direct Limited Box
- Vampire Chronicle for Matching service
- All the newest 2D Shooters like the ones in this auction

*scrolls around the pics agian*…i still cant believe it ha. Ill post it here as well…if ANYONE buys this auction i DEMAND to know who you are…and you better have time to create and burn copies for everyone:)
Who buys this will prolly lock it in a safe and put the safe in another safe and lock that too in another safe π
dont say that…that means i need an even bigger blow torch *sigh* lol
that it too awesome!!
so many games for my beloved dreamcast that i can’t play cos its in a strange language π
Do you mind if I, erm, drool a bit?
Why, thank you…
Droooooooool…
Woah at US $19,999.99 that is pretty damn expensive. Hope he does overcharge on the shipping.
That is an amazing collection. I wonder where he got them all? If he bought them as they came out or bought them recently. Some lucky (and rich) collector is going to be very happy.
Where do I sign the dotted line to sell my kidney? O_O
Just….
wow…
I didn’t realize the Dreamcast had that many games
O_O
that is all
Luke, the Japanese definitely got more stuff than we did in the rest of the world. Also remember that even though production of Dreamcast stuff fizzled out in the US in 2001, Japan was still going relatively strong into 2003 and even had game trickling out up until now.
Also, if you think the difference is significant for the Dreamcast, you should see how much more Japan has in terms of a Saturn library. If you want to play most of the good games for the Saturn, you’ll need to do some importing π
Wow. I can appreciate stuff like this, but I don’t see who in the world (aside from the ridiculously wealthy, of course) who would have the time and money for all of this.
I mean, you can’t drive it to work or anything.
I’m not even a game collector but I would want this to show off…
Wow…
Actually, $20,000 for 606 games is pretty damn decent; that’s an average of $33 each. Considering all the deluxe editions and other rarities, it’s probably a bargain. Of course, I’ll quickly agree that $20k is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a bunch of games, but there are certainly collectors out there who can afford that.
If I was rich, I would buy these and PLAY them all at least once, just to piss off the elitist collectors who don’t enjoy their games.
lol Gagaman — that’s the spirit!
Wow, that’s a lot of money for all those games…O_O
This is nothing compared to the other collections he has. He has many Japanese collections, I think he has a complete sealed super famicom set too.
He has bought games from me, he is a super nice guy too!
+1 for the gagaman’s comment.
i don’t understand why someone would buy games and never open them…
I am never impressed by these obsessive unopened collections. It’s a ridiculous waste of money, and games are made to be played and enjoyed – collecting like this is just crazy.
I know people will say “it’s his money” and “he’s a great guy” and such. And I’m sure that’s all true. But crazy is crazy, no matter how rich or nice to you.
of course you would not be impressed if it is not something you like or collect. But to others it is damn impressive.
Everyone likes and collects different things, your opinion means as little to him as his collecting habits do to you.
Ooh….pillow fight!
You guys do realize that there are people that make $20,000 in an hour. Put it in perspective.
Q: WILL YOU TRADE FOR MY WIFE SHE COOKS CLEANS AND IS THE REASON I DONT HAVE 20,000 Jun-06-08
A: That’s a wonderful wife you have. If your wife is still factory sealed, with the Y seal line on her back,i’m interested!

OMG great collection!!
