Racketboy 3-Year Anniversary & Mr. Robot Contest!

Today marks the three year point for RetroGaming with racketboy. This site was started as a humble project to have a single news and information source for classic gaming enthusiasts like me. After these three years, I’m pleasantly surprised that there are so many gamers out there like me who still prefer the old-school gaming lifestyle.

Anyway, to celebrate Moonpod Games is helping me run a simple contest. The winner will get a copy of Mr. Robot, Moodpod’s award-winning indie PC game. This isometric action/platformer/RPG definitely shows a good mix of modern-retro goodness. (I hope to review it soon)

If you would like to get a better idea of what the game has to offer, check out the official game page and watch these video clips. (Trailer & Effects Reel)

Anyway, as for the contest, it will be super-easy to enter. All you need to do is post a link to your favorite racketboy.com article or section on either your own website or another site like a message board. Just write a little summary about why you like the site/article along with the link and then point to your post in the comments section below. The winner of the Mr. Robot game will be chosen at random from the entries.

Anyway, I want to wish you all the best of luck and thanks again for supporting the site and participating in the community over the past three years.

I guess I should have been a bit more specific. It needs to be on a different site. The idea is to spread the word about the site to others. 🙂

I’m glad to get the word out, but I still feel a bit like a spammer. You do know most forums prohibit advertising other site right? That might be why you haven’t gotten much response.

People link to my articles all the time in forums when they think they are interesting. I post links to other sites all the time.

  8. OK here it is my contribution to this particular site/competition. However, talk is cheap and only words cannot express how much this site has acted as both a resource and inspiration.
