If anyone is interested in acquiring a copy of Spyro The Dragon legally, the PSN Store is selling the first one for $6.99 US. I’m not sure about the others, but if they’re not out, they’ll be out soon.

All three for the PS1 are pretty fantastic. I spent a lot of time going through them when I first had them for the playstation, and lately, Ripto’s Rage has found a spot on my PSP. I’d say if you are a fan of Ratchet and Clank, the Spyro PS1 games are a natural extension, but it’s really the other way around, considering Spyro was belted out first by Insomniac. Needless to say, there’s a ton of mini-quests and collection quests that require you to go through the same smallish level a few times to constantly open up new places or get new items/skills. Definitely worth finding them, if you can locate a copy!

GameFAQs says all 3 PS1 games were done by Insomniac.

I think the first couple on the PS1 were supposed to be good. The franchise has been handed off a lot.

This GBA one is, of course, in new hands.
