[...] Check it out! While looking through the blogosphere we stumbled on an interesting post today. Here’s a quick excerpt [IMG The Best 2D Games on the Nintendo Gamecube] In a response to many requests, I’m starting a new series covering the best modern 2D games for newer consoles. What’s especially interesting about modern 2D games is that not all of them use old-school sprites or hand-drawn art. Some of them actually use 3D graphics for all of the visuals, but keep the gameplay in a 2D perspective.
I've plaeyed a good deal of Thousand Year Door and I still consider it 2.5D. I can't think of a part that really seems like 3D

Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is in full 3D as far as I've seen just with flat character models, only Super Paper Mario was 2D with 3D at times. Though I could be wrong since I don't have a copy of the game to go try out.

I think Chaos Field is a very underated shooter, with many putting it down. Ive only played the Dreamcast version, but I really enjoyed its style and mechanics. I guess you have to be a shmup lover to enjoy this one.
