Racketboy

Every now and then I have some sponsors interested in having me promote their products or websites. These sponsors help fund racketboy.com and pay for hosting and enhancements to the site.

This time around ArcadeCow.com is running a contest for people who will play their flash games.

From the site:

“Are you a top scoring game whiz? Do you plow through games of every genre with ease? Then Arcade Cow’s High Score Contest is for you! The contest is simple. Play the “Contest Game” on the site and score as much as you can. If your score is one of the 5 highest scores when the contest ends, then you are one of the contest winners!”

There are various prize levels, all of which include a silver iPod shuffle and may also include cash and iTunes gift card prizes.

Keep in mind that the high-score contest is only includes one specified game. Personally, I would have liked to see a better choice in a game, but they must have had some reason for chosing it.

The site also has a number of other flash games that are similar to other flash game sites. They have replicas of old-school games, emulated NES games, puzzle games, and other oddball entertainment. It isn’t anything fancy, but whatever.

Unlike some contests, this one doesn’t seem to require any personal information. An email address is required to register, but they specifically state that they won’t sell it off and/or spam you. I know there are a number of contest fans out there, so if you like a chance at free stuff, give ArcadeCow and chance.
