Who thought with all this Next-Gen action going on the last couple of months we would have so many modern retro gaming news?!?

This time around we have word that the Worms series will be making its way to XBox Live Arcade — in fact it’s almost completed and ready to go!

And don’t worry — this XBLA version will be in the old-school 2D style. At this point, we don’t really know if it is a port of a previous installment like Worms Armegeddon or Worms World Party, of if its a completely new version, but I’m just happy it will resemble the 2D masterpiece I used to battle my wife and roommates at in college.

If you aren’t very familiar with the Worms franchise, I definately recommend checking out The Worm Hut to get aquainted with the series.
