E3 Retro Goodness for the DS

E3 is a joyous time of seeing what is on the horizon in the gaming industry. With all the excitement about the new Nintendo Wii games, the gaming media overlooked a few interesting Nintendo DS titles that I’m sure many retro gamers will be interested in….

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2
One of my favorite unsung GBA titles, Mario vs Donkey Kong, is getting a sequel on the DS.

Yoshi’s Island 2
The SNES hit (and remake on the GBA), Yoshi’s Island will get a full dual screen adventure.

Don’t expect much from Mario vs DK 2. They’ve changed the gameplay. There’s no Mario to control. It’s more like Lemmings in which you use the touch screen to move and activate elements. Personally, I didn’t find it fun to play at all.

Yoshi’s Island 2 though? Pure bliss.
