New Sega TV Games - Sonic & Master System Collections

There’s more TV Games from Sega on the way. Two systems should be available in April, a 5-in-1 Sonic-filled system and 20-in-1 Master System collection. The retail price is expected to be $29.95 and at least $39.95 respectively.

Games to be included are the Sonic games, 5 Alex Kidd games, 2 Phantasy Star games, and a whole lot of others.

The good news is that the controllers looks hecka cool — probably the coolest TV games controller I’ve seen. Creative and Stylish.

Bad news is that all 5 Sonic games are emulated versions of Master System/Game Gear games. That’s right — they are packing the inferior, lower-resolution games instead of their big Genesis/MegaDrive brothers. It’s quite a shame considering they have various Genesis-based TV Games out already. Not sure what the deal is.

But hey — the controllers are cool! :)

Looking good. I know its a lot to ask but its a shame they couldnt release a complete Master System collection in the 1 TV game unit. Even if they sold it for $150+

I know i’d be keen to get ahold of it.
