New Nintendo DS Design This Month?
And I thought Apple was the only company people spread a ton of rumors about — but I’ve heard an endless stream of Nintendo rumors lately. Between the Revolution, the DS, and Zelda: Twilight Princess, Nintendo has Apple beat.
Anyway… the rumor of the day is that Nintendo may “surprise” us with a newly designed DS on January 16th — a whole 5 days from now. While I knew that DS has been sold out in Japan, so maybe this is the best time to release the new one.
Talk is that the new DS will take on a “cellular phone-inspired design” with voice-driven functionality (VOIP) while maintaining its clamshell design. The new DS is expected to be ‘an opening square’ with the side-buttons and D-pad barely fitting.” The “square” idea makes it sound similar to the GBA SP. If this is the case, I’m not going to be happy with this as I hate hand cramps.
Time will tell…

Sadly the original GBA is still the most comfortable handheld I’ve ever tried. But the screen made games unplayable. But my new GBASP hasn’t been giving me too much trouble. It’s all in how you hold it.
