Worst Game Covers Ever
Making its rounds on the Net today is a gallery of the worst game covers ever.
I recognize many of these such as the early Megaman games (part 1 and 2 and one of the first Bomberman covers.
For some reason in the first decade or so of the console timeline, there were a lot of American publishers and artists that felt the need to try to take the concepts displayed by the cute pixel images of the game and turn them into a realistic image. They would have been SO much better off if they would have ripped a sprite from the game and slapped it on the cover, ala the original NES carts
I remember many of the newer ones in the gallery as well. I purposely bought a the CD only for the Saturn version of Bust A Move 2 on eBay because I didn’t want to spend extra money on such a disturbing cover.
