PS2 Gaining Tremendous 2D Support from SNK

Not too long ago I mentioned that the PS2 was starting to become THE console for 2D fighters. Up to now, the Dreamcast was the go-to console. Even with some of the new Guilty Gear ports, the Street Fighter Anniversary pack, and a few KOF packs, the PS2 was still missing some great games that the Dreamcast could boast of. Well now that seems to be changing.

SPOnG is reporting that SNK plans to release pretty much every King of Fighters game (past and present), the Last Blade series (1 and 2), and Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves. And for good measure it will be releasing the puzzle/shooter hybrid, Twinkle Star Spirtes, a 3D Metal Slug and yet another 3D King of Fighters.

In addition, you may have heard about the new, smaller, PStwo. What is the world coming to?
