Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Question about the virtual boy

Post by nightwalker »

Firts great article racketboy about the virtual boy!!!!!

I just have a question dont know if you had the chance to get any article regarding the consequences of using the virtual boy. I was one of the biggest fan of that machine but i remember i had to sell it cuz i was starting to get migranes (if that spelled correctly). My question is: Is there were a real proof that the virtual boy was bad for your vision or something?

I remember i used to time myself with it I only played it for about 15 mins 45mins tops then i gave it a rest for a full hour or so.

Yeah there are warnings on it and IIRC, the games automatically pause after 10 mins so you can take a break

From Wikipedia:
"The console's box and manual warned that the display could cause eyestrain and eye problems, especially for those under 7 years of age. Despite having been added primarily for liability reasons, the warnings frightened away potential buyers. Some that did buy it suffered from headaches from short times spent playing games on the machine."
