Just got a copy of Legend of Wukong for the Genesis

There are copies of Inscription for the Switch on ebay right now for about 80 bucks. Don't know much about the game but it seems people are going crazy trying to snag a copy and this is apparently cheaper than the usual ebay prices it goes for.

Really fun game. $20 on steam/gog. Usually goes on sale for $11 or $12. I wouldn't overpay for a physcial copy.

The Shantae games are some of my FAVE Metroidvanias.

Who could you all see in a live-action Shantae film adaptation? I used to think Ariana Grande would make an excellent Shantae, but now I'm thinking maybe Josie Totah. I know I definitely would like to see Mike Faist as Bolo, Eric Stonestreet as Mayor Scuttlebutt, Jordan Alexander as Risky Boots, Christopher Meloni as the Ammo Baron and Bowen Yang as the voice of Squid Baron.

Some awesome stuff posted in this thread recently! ZRofel, that PS1 haul is amazing. A lot of great games in there, and some titles I'm interested in myself. Also, RJ, you'll have to let us know how you like The Legend of Wu Kong. Markies, that's great that you picked up Wonder Boy In Monster World. I played through it a few years ago and loved it. I need to get around to Monster World IV!

I'm still catching up, so here's the games I got throughout April!



Run Saber (SNES) - I've been trying to track this down for quite a while and finally found a copy in good shape. Two player Strider clone on the SNES! I actually really like how this game controls. Can't wait to play this one with a friend.

Twisted Tales of Spike McFang (SNES) - As a big fan of action adventure games, this was one of my grails on the system. Looking forward to checking out this unique title, in which you control a cartoony vampire.

Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2) - My close friend had this one around release and I remember having a good time playing it co-op with him. My PS2 was having some trouble reading it at first, I guess because it's a blue bottom disc (?), but it seems to play okay now. The joys of retro gaming!

Warsong (GEN) - This was one of the few remaining Genesis RPGs I was hoping to track down. I already had the manual from a cheap lot of Genesis manuals I got about seven years ago, so I was looking for a good condition case and cart only copy. I passed one up last year, but this time around I went for it.
