That's right, 145 issues of Nintendo Power were uploaded to the Internet Archive back in February...and nobody noticed until last week. Then Nintendo fans found it. Then Nintendo found it. Now it's gone.

I can see if someone was making money off the PDFs, but they were free bit of History! Yes Nintendo was within their rights, but still they are old out of print issues! Copy right is really ridiculous when the company do not offer a way for fans to access the out of print data.

Eh, I stand by what I said. Why make a thread just to bitch about something that already happened, that can't be changed, and that any reasonably intelligent person would literally expect to happen?
You make a pointlessly negative post, happily escalate with your response, then toss around "read the forum rules" as a lightly veiled ban threat? Whatever man. Do what what you have to.

Someone is making money off content from those magazines though - one company is paying to licence the comics within old Nintendo Power magazines, and then printing/selling them as collections that are either currently in stores or planned for release before long. Legally, the original source needs to be protected from people just dumping it all online and making it freely available to the public without permission.
I know IP rights aren't something people respect, and agree that copyright law can sometimes be ridiculous. But what do you expect to happen in this case? It's only a "free bit of history" if/when the people who actually own the content agree to give it away for free. When they are actively selling it, of course having people give it away for free without permission isn't going to fly.

No, I made a post about an event that occurred at a similar time as another one. You apparently misinterpeted the meaning of that post and then used it as a means to insult me, thus escalating it. You have apparently chosen to continue reading my posts incorrectly and choosing to insult me ffor some reason I can only assume is personal on your end. Either way, I will not tolerate your behavior any further. You either apologize, or I will issue you a warning over your actions.
Was going to PM instead of posting to stop the thread crapping, but don't take well to public "apologize or else" ultimatums when PMs work just as well. If that's your preferred approach to moderation, then by all means let's hash it out here.
You have neither said nor done anything to change my opinion. Your first response to me might be entirely fair, but only a fool would believe that it's not escalation or a dick post.
It's unfortunate if someone who you don't know or care about posted something in an online forum that you took personally, but I don't regret anything and won't offer false apologies.

To inform that it happened. The tone of your post is really annoying. I mean, what's the point of your response?
Very well. After consultation with multiple moderators and site admin, who found your actions and attitude unorthodox and out of character, I am issuing you a warning for your behavior.
