Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
I have this on the Capcom Digital Collection disk for 360 but I've never really messed with it because puzzle games aren't my forte. I'll give it a shot sometime this month.

Whoa. Totally forgot about this one. Got that PSP compilation a little while back so I may give this a go.
Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
One of the best puzzlers out there, it actually very competive and awesome eye candy. Love the cutesy characters. I got this downloaded on my 360 should be able to play a night or so with the old lady.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Woo hoo time for Solomon's Key!
Wait, what? Oh yeah. It barely lost.
Ok, so the SPF 2 thing. I was able to play it in arcades for years. I'll be doing it the way it was written on the main page article (nearly).
playing the GBA version on a Gamecube hooked up to a GBA player using component cables and a Hori Gamecube arcade stick
90% counts. Maybe I'll try it in MAME too.

Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
I can get into this.
I played this game a lot back in the PS1 days.
Never played it for the saturn. But it should be the same.
Now what isn't the same is the PSP version and others around that time.
Back in the day there was the round crash gem that destroyed your big gems.
But newer versions have other 'Play modes' where the way of eliminating gems changed.
Different modes.
Some are okay and some kinda detract from the original play mode.
Another thing that took me a while to get used to when playing the PSP version from the PS1 version is the frame rate.
I've played the PS1 so much that the PSP version seems a little off to me. I had to re-adjust my play style on the PSP. Do any of you guy/gals feel that way too?
We have plenty of time to discuss, wont we?

Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
I've always wanted to give this game a try, but never have. Maybe I'll finally remember to participate in Together Retro this time!
I read the article, but... Between Saturn, DC and PS1... which version would you all recommend?

Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
Back in 2011 we played a lot of the PS3-PSN version together. There's probably a noise/sevin thread we can necro-bump.
Re: Together Retro: Super Puzzle Fighter
I've got serious hope that I manage to come across the Saturn version at a used game shop I'm visiting tomorrow. Otherwise I might get the XBLA version. I've been curious about this for a long time! I love puzzle games and Capcom fighters.
(But I haven't had much time for gaming lately so I may have to sit this month out... like I do most months.)

Mistakes like having the same sentence twice?
