It was probably a mistake.

The Segata game makes it worthwhile, but the fact you have a Saturn system w/model 2 controller covers half the price already. The pre-2007 ARplus (with 25-pin parallel port on top) makes up at least the other half. The 3D controller by itself is probably another $25. And the list goes on...

Not to mention any games you don't like, you can keep their full-sized (and extra brittle) case for any disc-only games you will find in the future.

My town has a Saturn on craigslist right now and I own it. Nobody has bought it yet and it has been up with reposts for nearly two months. Only $40.

But I bet having one complete in its box is a good collector's item.

Really? Is that a good or bad price? I bought my Saturn at a local store with all hookups and a controller for $19.

IIRC, at the time when I bought it, $50 for the console and a controller was about average. Admittedly, I could've done better if I were more patient.
