TMNT Fall of the Foot Clan, Gameboy

I will never, ever get tired of beating this game. I'l never get tired of playing the simple mini games either. Definitely in my top 5 original gameboy games.

VVVVVV - PC
Fun little retro esque, Metroid style game. I enjoyed it quite a bit and helped make a weekend away entertaining during the nights.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - PC
Surprisingly good! I got this for free via a uPlay promotion and was not expecting to play it but installed it (as you have to to add games to your uPlay account) and ended up playing it through within the week. It is a tad short, but other than that the time control and water control are done really well.

Halo 4 - 360
Finished on Heroic. The reason I have not done much else gaming. I love this game so much more than I ever thought I could love a Halo game. I thought Reach was a step in the right direction, but Halo 4 is by far the best game in the series to me both single player campaign and online. It is the first game were I feel anything towards the Chief and Cortana as well as the first game that when I finished I wanted more.

The online is much more fun than past entries, it feels like they have adopted a lot from earlier (COD4) Call of Duty games, but that's not a bad thing.

My only negative thing to say about it, is the Spartan Ops. Really, they are the same maps or parts of maps from the main game, played over again with some voice over acting. Not quite what they promised. I understand they are free (but require Gold) but if you are taking away Firefight, which was great local co-op fun, replace it with something worthwhile.

Continuing my Megaman marathon... yep, MM3 is still probably my top favorite and I still love MM4 more than most I guess, working on that one now. You just can't go wrong with the first six games at all, love them all. Might stop at 6 and jump to 9-10, but I do kind of want to revisit 7 and 8... I could see 7 being a decent game, like X5-X6. Flawed, but not a "bad" game. I don't remember loving it or 8 though.

I really wish the Anniversary Collection included Megaman & Bass, I'd put that game WAY above 7/8.

And no I've never touched X7 and never will. Beat X8 once and I'm done for life with that one too.

Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword - 1/2/2012
Sonic 4 Episode 1 - 2/7/2012 - No Super Sonic though, the bonus levels are killing me.
Ninja Turtles Arcade XBLA 2/14/2012
Simpsons Arcade XBLA 2/28/2012
Streets of Rage 2 - Genesis 3/3/2012
Astro Warrior - Sega Master System
Truxton - Normal Difficulty
Final Fantasy VII
Diablo 3 - Normal Difficulty
Diablo - Normal Difficulty
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness - Both Campaigns
Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal - Both Campaigns
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (All Campaigns)
Warcraft III: Frozen Throne (All Campaigns)
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Shenmue
Shenmue 2 oXbox
Animal Crossing (Gamecube) - All debts paid off, still working on my collection!
Halo 4 - 11/8/2012
Sonic Generations -11/12/2012
Vanquish - 11/26/2012

Vanquish was actually a very well done, fast paced 3rd person shooter. The acting was fairly bad and over the top and the story cheesy, but I found it to be very enjoyable gameplay wise. It kept me entertained for this point alone. I'll probably finish up Ivy the Kiwi? and then be on my way to start and play through Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Xenoblade Chronicles. Thoughts on which I should play first? I hear both are critically acclaimed.

I really like Vanquish, one of the "under the radar" games this gen. I am hoping Binary Domain has a similar polish as I am on tap to get that in before the year is out.

As for your choices, I couldn't get into DE:HR or Xenoblade despite sinking several hours into each...but if forced to pick I'd go with the latter.

Papo & Yo - PSN
Before I even talk about the game I have to say that covering the topics of abusive parents and alcoholism is a difficult task in any medium and not one that is covered in video games very often. The game opens with a quote “To my mother, brothers and sisters with whom I survived the monster in my father.” and it pretty much sets the tone for the game.

Papo & Yo puts you into the mind of a young boy with an abusive, alcoholic father via fantasy world full of puzzles. The gameplay itself is very enjoyable with some clever puzzles, the story is told using metaphors, no all are subtle. The boy struggles tries throughout the entire game to help monster (his father) only for the father to constantly turn into fits of rage when consuming frogs (alcohol).

It handles the topic in a way I would not think possible for a video game and despite low reviews (4/10, IGN) I feel the game breaks a lot of ground in story telling and does so with enjoyable puzzle / platforming, which I can only compare to Ico.

If you have been on the fence about it, or have not heard about it, I highly recommend it, I generally don't buy in to 'video games are art', I make an exception with Papo & Yo, not only for its amazing visuals and concepts (though sometimes there are slowdowns) but for its ability to take you into the mind of a troubled youth and watch as he tries to come to terms with his father.

23- StarFox Adventures (GC)

Well i finally beat it and i must say it wasn't bad at all, looks like all the complains about the game was "this is not starfox, he's walking" well that dosen't aply to me. It has his highs and lows but overall the game is enjoyable but it can be a bit boring in some parts and will be better with more boss battles, there's only like 3 or 4 in total.
I was a bit dissapointed/happy with the final boss because:

It is Andross, is cool to fight him again with amazing details on his face... but i was specting at least a tiny fight against General Scales.

But overall fun game, and if you can pass the thing that Fox is now walking and out of his ship you can be surprised for what this game offers.
