I thought LoS was a decent game, the biggest downside was the linear gameplay. I believe if Konami took their time, and made all the areas meshed into 1 continuous explorable world, it would have changed the game drastically.

Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread
I literally spit out my cereal when I saw that out of nowhere while watching Robot Chicken one night.
Gotta give it to Seth Green - he's a nerd and he thinks just like we all do!

Yeah, definitely not the funniest skit I've seen on Robot Chicken, but it is cool to see them do one of your favorite game series.
Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread
I was surprised to see that CV joke too, same with the FF VII skit they had. Both very funny. I generally don't care for Robot Chicken at all, but I can't help but appreciate stuff like that.
Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread
I chuckled when I saw that clip, but I was at work so I had it muted. But then I watched it with sound, and unfortunately, it didn't seem as funny. :/
Re: Castlevania Appreciation Thread
I guess that clip is hit or miss. A friend of mine sent it to me after I lent her a Castlevania game, and I nearly lost it.
What fascinates me about Castlevania is the amount of thought they put into the level designs. With most of the exploration based games, you can play through as a "classic" character after beating the main game. And what grew onto you as this immense expanse of backtracking and monster slaying now seems like a linear Castlevania game all over again. And not to mention, flipping over the entire castle in SoTN.
This is hilarious.
