Finally got a classic color retro mario amiibo now that prices have calmed down. It is way bigger and more complex than I expected. It is also pretty much the end of my amiibo collecting until more Zelda or Metroid models get released.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I visited the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Center today, and bought an Amiibo. I don't have a Wii-U, nor do I plan to own one. But I loved the irony of going into the Nintendo store and buying a Sonic figure.
