I played the first Commander Keen game recently and it is painful to go back to it. Screw that series, we need to play a Sonic game in TR.

I really hope it doesn't win, cause I only have the shitty mega drive port which controls like shit....the EUROPEAN shitty Mega Drive port which controls like shit AND is 17% slower

I kinda considered Oddworld more of a Puzzle game than a platformer. As the puzzle games were all of the match 3 type I didnt nominate it. I overlooked Solomans Key.
I voted Klonoa. Not interested in Commander Keen, I hate Flashback (bought, tried and soldit 3 times now) and I've beaten the others a few times.
If S&K wins so be it. I'll buy Sonic 3, lock on and try and gt all the emeralds for the first time
To me, Oddworld sits with Another World and Flashback in that cinematic platformer sub-genre. It's got puzzle elements but its structure is that of a platform game.
For me Oddworld is THE puzzle platformer. Unlike most indie titles that have gotten pretty lazy with the genre, oddworld had both great puzzles AND tight platforming. The controls were silky smooth (unlike almost all other cinematic platformers) and the art direction was outstanding.....but I would agree it would make a better candidate in the puzzle category

I just imagine that this is an episode of Wacky Races with each mascot driving their themed vehicle in an all out, balls to the wall derby to the death!
