I'm pretty sure right now it's Pornovember.
Then it's Romantic ComeDecember.

I try to catch all the latest released in JaNewAry.

After April comes AniMay.
Then it's June 'tem Up.

And I always make sure to attend the Semitic film festival in July.

No and no.

I watched A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas today while doing my laundry. Normally I only do laundry if I'm off in the afternoon but I needed a clean work shirt for my morning job, so I loaded up this on my tablet and had a good time watching this R-rated stoner comedy that probably hits better in 3D.

I agree completely. My wife and I watched it tonight, and it is laugh-out-loud funny. I highly recommend it.

TCM was a big part of the push for Noirvember. I remember the folks internally who pushed hard for it, and one woman in particular on their social media team. She left the company for Netflix and is now a professional writer and reviewer. Her knowledge of film, especially noir, was always astounding to me.

Mortal Kombat 2021

very disappointed. I had big hopes for it. The 90's version is much truer to the game and gives more of a Mortal Kombat feel. This feels like a Netflix superhero B-show. The casting for Raiden and Lu Kang was specially bad imo. Not sure if its truer to the modern games because I have not played those. imo if you will do a remake, do it better or don't do it at all. The original did not even have the advantage of CG, at least not as much as today.

Live-action Mortal Kombat peaked with the 1995 film, whichIplan on giving to my niblings for Christmas. You know it kicks ass when the games literally changed Kano to more resemble Trevor Goddard, who around that time also started work on the indie film Flexing With Monty. Ironically it wouldn't get released until after Goddard's death almost 15 years later.

As for me, I rewatched the laugh riot Scrooged. I should totally try to show this to my niblings.

Today while I was wrapping presents I popped in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, which consists of three Christmas stories centered around the characters of Mickey Mouse and his friends. First, Donald Duck's nephews wish it could be Christmas everyday and end up in a Groundhog Day scenario that ends with them learning the true meaning of Christmas. Next, Goofy and Max are getting ready for Christmas but when Max begins to doubt that Santa exists, Goofy tries to change his tune. And finally, we get a heartwarming take on O. Henry's "Gift of the Magi", which here takes the form of Mickey trying to buy a chain for Minnie's antique watch, unaware that Minnie is also seeking to get the perfect gift for Mickey. If you're aware of the O. Henry classic, or its numerous retellings, you'll know what to expect.
