...but, for God's sake, whatever you do, skip Dragon's Lair on the NES and SNES.

As someone who owns the SNES Dragon's Lair...yes.

If they made those Shadowgate style with some cut-scenes, it could have been brilliant. Point, click, win.

But watch a entertaining review for DL on the NES!

Can't say I was that impressed at all with Jak 1 honestly. I'm someone who missed out on the big three PS2 platformers and this is... miles deep the worst. The first Ratchet & Clank itself is pretty rough, but the world building, the writing, the humor, and overall the game pretty much destroys this. In comparison, Sly controlled WAY better and I don't recall bad camera angles, which were littered through Jak 1. Was Daxter supposed to be likeable? Everything was utterly subpar at best, a downgrade from the Crash games, a downgrade from the N64 platformers... it was just totally weak and ended up being a chore midway in.

Not looking forward to the others. More gun action, without strafing, with GTA mechanics (wtf?), and a more serious tone? lmao... I'm just going to get back to the Sly series and wrap that up since I know those will be good.

I don't know how a company goes from making the awesome Crash Bandicoot series to those crappy Jak and Daxter games.

The Sly series and R&C series are so much better it's not even funny

Yes because I saw that before AVGN and I still think this one has some decent entertainment value.

That's right, the door KILLS you.

I kind of want to try out Beyond Two Souls after reading some previous comments and seeing that youtube link. I always did have an interest in it, just never got around to playing it.

Just to add to my thoughts on The Order 1886, the way in which the game transitions from cut scene to game play in some parts of the game is really, really well done. At times, I found myself not even realizing that I was back in control of my character.

Do it. The storytelling is very disjointed, which is a bit of a detriment, but I never felt that the QTEs were too difficult to figure out. The game moves into slow motion and you just follow the movements of your character. You always feel the need to go quickly, but they give you a lot of leeway in the slow motion to figure out what direction you need to move.

Also, the game is two player! If you have a friend, they can help... or hurt you in a whacky way!
