You're right in that this game is far more than just a predatory attempt to prey on people's nostalgia, but I was still a little let down when I played it. I get that they wanted to set a fast pace but events went by TOO fast IMO. There were too many instances of characters just showing up saying, "Yup okay got that done off-screen while you were doing [X], so now what?" I would love to see a sequel that has a much more fleshed out world/story/characters

Yeah, I'll agree that it cut a few TOO many corners with regards to length, but I would generally prefer a game be a bit too brief than drag on too long. Totally a personal preference, though.
